Join WRA’s Archivist & Historian Tom Vince, in collaboration with Angela Gotthardt P ’04 & ’09 from Hudson’s Secret Tea Society, to hear untold stories from WRA’s long history.

Featuring guest speaker Robert Pappalardo, a Project Scientist, JPL Fellow and Senior Research Scientist at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in the Planetary Science Section. His research focuses on processes that have shaped the icy satellites of the outer solar system, especially Jupiter’s moon, Europa, and its probable subsurface ocean. He is currently working alongside other NASA scientists to launch Earth’s first mission to conduct detailed reconnaissance of this moon, with a target launch date of October 10, 2024.

David J. Dorson, 80, died March 20, 2024 at home, in Hudson, OH He was born in Warren, OH June 14,1943 with his twin Donald. They were the youngest of 4 children of George and Iva Dorson and were brought up on their farm in Colebrook, OH. He is survived by his wife Beverly Green Dorson and children Meredith Mitchell, Matthew Dorson (Susan), Melanie Dorson (Justin Tiwald), Donald Dorson, as well as 4 grandchildren, Nathan, Alex Dorson, Drake and Grant Mitchell. David taught at Hiram College and also at WRA, each for 14 years. David has been cremated and a Celebration of Life will take place on June 2, at 1:30 at the Western Reserve Academy chapel. The Celebration is open to all and alumni are welcome to come to share stories and memories as well as friends of the family.
