Greetings Earthlings!

Four very formative years of my life were spent there.

Gave me a great education and start in life, as it had done with my father, the late Louis Birnbaum '32

The quality of education was unrivaled, the grounds and buildings were fantastic, and I made life-long friends who I call my best friends!

Attending Western Reserve Academy changed the course of my life and opened a world of opportunities I never knew existed.

I was an exchange student and I have wonderful, deep memories of those days!

As the years rolled by Reserve’s education meant more and more to me as I realized how enriching it was.

Reserve changed the direction of my life. Reserve taught me that it's o.k. to strive, to learn, and to participate fully.

I made great friends and the experience opened many opportunities for me.

I grew up in campus and it will always be home

Set me on the course I pursued my whole career and life.

My years at Reserve opened my eyes to all that is possible for the child of immigrants living in a small town in West Virginia. Reserve taught me to be curious and compassionate. It also taught me the moral duty to help others when we are the products of an elite education.

Hudson, Ohio was home to me for some eight years. For two of those years I was a day-student at the Academy. I've treasured both the friends I met and the education I received there. WRA played an integral part of launching me on my life's many journeys.

Reserve was a special place when I was there nearly 40 years ago - it shaped me into the person I am today. The teachers, faculty, and staff were so vital to our learning and growth, and all the class activities made WRA truly a special place. And now to get to watch Mason, our son, grow and learn with these same values makes it even more special. Thank you and Go PIOs!
